General Volunteer

Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the work, activities, and values of the organisation. As a General Volunteer, you will contribute your time, skills, and enthusiasm to help deliver projects, events, and services that benefit the community. This is a flexible role designed to suit a wide range of interests, abilities, and availability.

Volunteers may support the organisation in a variety of ways, including:

• Assisting with community events, activities, and meetings
• Supporting day-to-day tasks, projects, or short-term initiatives
• Helping with engagement, outreach, or promotion within the community
• Providing practical support such as set-up, stewarding, or administration
• Sharing ideas, feedback, and local knowledge to help shape activities

General Volunteers are expected to:

• Act in a positive, respectful, and reliable manner
• Work in line with the organisation’s values, policies, and procedures
• Respect confidentiality and treat others with fairness and dignity
• Follow health and safety guidance and instructions when volunteering

No specific qualifications or experience are required. Training, guidance, and support will be provided as appropriate. The role offers a flexible opportunity to get involved, meet new people, develop skills, and make a positive contribution to the community.
